Laptop - tactile key board
8 Answers
Having been a touch typist for many years (too many!) I am finding it difficult to source a laptop with a good keyboard. It's not the layout that's a problem, just the lack of response (ie feel and sound) which make is difficult for me to type at any speed.
Can anyone recommend a laptop that has a keyboard with this kind of feeback?
Many thanks

I agree that probably an external one is what you need ~(however you may find it easier to adapt than you think - we no longer gave typists - but some of our older laidies who used real manual machines at 100 wpm+ regularly destroy pc keyboards with their "positive touch" technique which can also be used to knock in nails
I think your safest bet is to tour the shops
comet, pc world etc have them all out on show ... you can have a go ... and move on before the sound of can I help echos down the isle
i'm a poke and hope typist ... but my old ps2 dell keyboard with a proper switch driven keyboard is far better than any of the new membrane jobbies (to me)

Here's my keyboard, with genuine UBM "buckling Spring" technology.
