Can someone tell me why the women think they are worth as much as the men.

If you compare the Lady's Final, a total non-event, to today's Men's Final they are on a different planet !!

The women are playing to the strength they have And why shouldn't they be worth as much as the men?

I must admit the Ladies FInal was a real dampener!!

But I enjoyed the Men's Final. Nadal is one of my fave players!

That may be but, nonetheless there is no way they are worth the same money as the guys.

If they played five sets then maybe they would be worth it.

Agree with you Prescott + am a lady ;-) Either they play max of 5 sets the same as men or they take less pay proportianate to time spent on court- makes sense!! The Men's Final was a thousand times more entertaining , too, agree for certain!! Only female excited about is Laura Robson as she has the potential to be as good as Virginia Wade as long as she doesn't follow in the footsteps of Anabella Croft- who was a promising juniour yet could not cut the mustard at the seniour level. Like equality across the boards for both sexes, yet, it must be on a fair basis for both sexes. Delighted Rafa/Rafael Nadal won too!! An equalist yet a fair equalist, Beatrice :-) ;-)

No objection to women earning the same amount as men as long as they do the same amount of work, and so long as the men play the best of 5 and the women the best of 3 it shouldn't happen - in my opinion.
