I'm getting married soon and just out of interest wondered if there was anything anyone can think of that, they would have done differently on their wedding day? E.G Little touches they wish they hadn't bothered with or big expenses they wish they hadn't bothered with?

lol..i'd have told the driver to keep on driving..straight past the church!!!
i would have had more photos
I would have had a short veil, not a long one that folks kept treading on!!
Are you having a wedding breakfast (a sit down meal ) as well as an evening buffet ? dont cater for everyone at the evening buffet as those that have eaten the wedding breakfast wont eat much buffet in my experiences
Have to agree with Bednobs and patriciaH, I would have had more photos taken, and catered for less in the evening, far too much food was left over.
I`d have checked the date more carefully and made sure England wasn`t playing on the same day :o(
hey guess what its going to be your day !! relax and enjoy it slow down make it last it will be over before ya know it . the day will pass whether everything is just right or not so on the day dont bother worring about it just embrace every moment of it for memories . oh and a lot of photos not so much all the poses but of everyone there and the celebration going on.
I concurr with gonzo.. don't do it!!!
go away to get married, i went to miami. no family no arguments no fighting, just a wonderful day and superb photos.
We made a list of all the photos we wanted, Bride and Groom, Bride with Groom's parents etc. so then we could hand the list to the photographer and let him get on with it rather than us having to suggest photo ideas.

We got married with a tiny guest list (22), very close family and friends. Had a fabulous dinner and went on honeymoon the next day.

We had the reception when we came back, a big party for all our family and friends.

It was a completely stress free way to get married and I got to wear my dress twice!
I wouldnt allow anyone to interfer with my speacial DAY... That is the worse because not only do they do what you DONT want they also stress you out... Take your time, take it easy and choose VERY carefully who you want to help you, but dont feel ashamed if you need to tell someone to back off, it was the best thing I ever done :)

yes was going to say the same...this is your day, have it how you want. I have to say i think its quite sad when folk say they can't afford a huge wedding so are going to wait until they can. The day is about promising each other certain things and those promises being witnessed and celebrated by the people who you care about and who care about you....everything else is superfluous and a stressor IMO
