A few years back, there was a product sold in a container looking like a peppermill that contained a white powder (sodium acetate?) which you could sprinkle onto ready salted crisps to turn them into salt and vinegar flavour.
Is this product still made and does anyone know which supermarket stocks it nowadays.

Many thanks.

Disappeared years ago. But you could always add powdered vinegar to ordinary salt to make your own. Yes, there is such a thing, and it's widely used in the food industry. It comes in many varieties, apple cider, red and white wine, malt, etc. One problem is that it might only be available in 22kg bags! See here.
