Can anyone tell me why i cant play a DVD on my computer after recording a film from TV using DVD recorder.When pressing play on computer i get a message which reads Windows cannot read from this disk as it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows.Disk is a normal DVD+RW And is it possible to make it compatible

have a look on the front of the optical (CD/DVD) drive on your computer. there should be something on there which states the disc types it can play.

you need to put the disc back into your recorder and finalise it to make it playable on other players, incl your pc.

You may well not be able to do this with RW discs mind.
try downloading 'VLC Media Player' (it's free), it has the ability to play just about any dvd/music format. I had the same problem as you.
