Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can anyone guide me in the right direction to an answer for this please.

You've arrived at another of these mysterious signposts which, of course, bear no resemblance to reality! It tells you that FRANCE = 288766; GAMBIA = 395831; MONACO = 481162; and SPAIN = 591530. On that basis, logically, how far is PERU?

Go back over past GBQs - Bill has used this idea before, albeit in slightly different ways.

O could, but I'm not going to. Isn't the whole point of the GBQ to find the answer, rather than get told what it is? And especially in problems of this nature.

I am also stuck on this question. Lin is not asking for the ANSWER. She is asking to be guided in the right direction. When you have investigated a question for a long while and got nowhere with it, a hint, a lead, a clue, can help ease the frustration and sometimes you find the answer. Even if you do not, at least you know that some kind person has tried to help you along the way. My thanks to those of you who have assisted me previously.

Frank23 I suggest that you read Lin's posting dated the 29th April - I quote "DON'T FORGET TO GIVE ME THE ANSWER".

That to me, is directly requesting the answer and is NOT asking to be guided in the right direction.

I found the answer to this by relating the numbers to known alpha values. I wholeheartedly support those who request that answers are not posted on this site.
