im planning on travelling round the major  european cities and train travel seems to be the easiest option. ive heard about a euro rail ticket or sumthing allowing unlimited train travel for a certain time period. has anyone got an info on this and where i could get one

I think you are refering to an "Inter Rail ticket". This covers 28 European countries (and Morocco) and costs �285 for under 26s and �405 for over 26s. This is for 1 months unlimited travel.

Google "Inter rail" and you will find numerous travel agents offering the ticket.
