Do you trust people that smile all the time my local bookie has a big smile on his face every time I go to put a bet on. He's a shifty shyster if I've ever seen one.

ok firstly some people are just happy and like to show it because instead of being miserable they like to have a smile on there face like me but that doesnt mean they are up to something and are shifty

i do tend to trust people who smile because they seem friendly and approachable but those that dont smile, well i tend not to talk to them just in case i get my head bitten of

its great to smile all the time because it helps some ppl pysically (toning face lol) and emotionally

maybe you should try it happy chappie  your half way there with the name, now try raising your lips in to that lovely smile

OiI!! I smile a lot and I'm not shifty!!! ;-0 see?
lol! that was meant to be ;-) .... see?

I always smile at people i don't think i am shifty at all.

Perhaps if you were to learn how to smile as well you'd enjoy it and you'll realise that you don't have to be shifty to smile at people!

it's the quiet ones you need to watch!!!!!!!

Yes do not trust the "permasmiles" - no one can be that happy all the time.

In my experience you tend to know where you stand with a 'miserable' person. Smiley people are often smiling at your face while reaching behind to stab you in the back. But then again as Mark Twain once said 'All sweeping generalisations are false - including this one'.

The first thing I do on approaching people is 'smile'.

If I get a knock back (no repsonse), then I just mumble "miserbale git" & walk on! I'd rather see a happy face than a miserable one!

Anyway, I can tell a false smile anywhere - I've dealt with too many people over the years!

Mind you, if people do have miserable faces, they could very well be carrying the 'world' on their shoulders & I usually take them under my wing.

no wonder I can't make any new friends, i'm always smiling and i'm quiet......

here in Stepford my wife has never smiled so much.! She's sooooo perfect.

as regards the bookie, my dad used to say you never see one riding a bike. (of course this was when bikes were for poor people)
