Rinkins - I'm in Lincolnshire, the BF's in Cambridgeshire - it's just that the BF keeps his boat (sailing yacht, Bavaria 36) in a marina opposite Portsmouth harbour. I love Portsmouth itself - the spinnaker tower never fails to fascinate me, gunwhaf quay & all its bars & cafes, HMS Victory, the warships etc etc...

Ah ok! Boat sounds lovely. Portsmouth is great I love gun wharf. Been down a couple of times with work. You lucky thing!

When I was in States at Christmas we found a gorgeous marina near Sarasota. They were cruisers though - only $4,000,000 a pop! I prefer sailing though I think.
