Hi Buenchico or anyone else.....
Well,I am feeling really chuffed now,as I have now been able to fix my old CMOS battery which needed replacing on my own.Yes,I did it all on my own!!!!
I did not need any help at all from anyone.
I bought two new CMOS batteries online at a great price.
They didn't cost much at all, much to my relief.
All I had to do was to prise the side cover off my PC Hard drive, and lo and behold the old CMOS battery was around the bottom of the circuit board. The old battery was a little awkward to get out.It needed a bit of prising with a small knife, and then I simply clicked the new one in place. The only way to see if it has worked is when I switch my PC off and then turn it on again tomorrow.
Hopefully the BIOS Setup utility screen won't pop up again. If it does I will scream!
But,at least I am feeling chuffed about doing it myself.
^_^
Now,I have another niggly problem.Yes,another niggly problem. It doesn't bother me much though.
It happens every time I wait for the system to boot up.
When it finishes booting up after I switch it on,the desktop screen appears and then a smaller boxed window appears with a title bar titled Exception
Within the box it says:-
Open Exclusive failed config.TBD
The system cannot find the file specfied.
,Error 4516432
(it also has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark within it,in the smallbox)
It has an OK button, and I either click on OK or just close
the window.
Please can you tell me how do I fix this?
I will be very very grateful....
As I say,it doesn't bother me much...but if you could tell me what to do,I will be pleased.
Thanks!!
Right,I'm off now to do a Norton Full System scan and a Disk Clean up,just to make sure that everything is working fine..So I'll catch you later.
Many thanks in advance....

config.tbd is a turbonotes config file, either uninstall turbonotes and reinstall it (or if you don't actually use it then just uninstall it)
