if you have a reasonable quality credit card, check the small print.

You often find it covers you for 'XX' number of days abroad a year. just make sure you have a new E111 form the post office if you traveling in Europe

I always use the Post Ofice's own travel insurance. Me & my two kids are going to the Med later this month and it cost me �20 for all three of us.
