Bank Charges and jobseekers allowance

I am due to get my jobseekers allowance on firday, yet out of the blue barclays have backdated charges for 4 weeks @ �22 each, which means i wont see any of my money, what can i do? The jobcentre have said that its gone out early, because its easter, so i cant get it in a giro as i would an other week. Is there anything i can do, i will be going into barclays tomorrow to speak to them asap. thanks

When I worked in a bank, we would allow people to overdraw and repay back the amount you were overdrawn by �5 or �10 a week or a month until the full amount is repaid. Sorry but this will be late as you would have been to your bank by now. I hope it went well.

you can reclaim the bank charges under the hardship scheme, go to
moneysavingexpert.com

most banks are open on saturday, go in and see them and see if they can help, don't get your hopes up though, if you have been on JSA for 6 months ask for a crisis loan first thing tuesday
