Paris
Does anyone know any great cheap eating places in Paris? I'm going next week and I'm on a budget.
Also....is it correct that diet coke is actually coca light? how is that pronounced??

I know a wonderful place that's not CHEAP exactly, but you get LOADS of food for your money. However I'll have to ask Mum for the name of the place and get back to you! :-) Give me a deadline and I'll hurry up about it! :-)
Head to one of the numerous markets for charcuterie, cheese, olives, fruit and bread then to the park for the best impromptu lunch. Alternatively, the AA guide is pretty good and points you in the right direction for good value. Check the menus before you go in and if you can avoid the touristy places so much the better!
Although having re-read about the coca-light bit you might find some of the places frequented by locals a little difficult to handle. I lived in France for a year and, on a visit last year with my non-french speaking boyfriend I translated the menu for him, ordered in french and then realised I had just ordered myself andouilette (sausages made from unmentionable bits!) I did eat them though, if only to save face from the very impressed owner of the restaurant.
