Tigger

I put this in A&N but I thought I might bring it to CB as well (and maybe see if I get any dodgy responses - lol).
In the last couple of months I noticed that Tigger was over-licking her fur and she now has little bare patches on her lower back and tail. There are also scabs in the patches.
I thought it could have been fleas so I used Frontline Spot on treatment on the back of her neck a couple of weeks ago. The problem is she is still over-licking herself and the scabs keep appearing.
I am going to take her to the vets anyway but does anyone else have this kind of problem with their cat? Could she have an allergy to fleas or something else maybe?

Did you also spray the house with an anti-flea aerosol? In any case, you say your are bringing puss to the vet, so he can take skin scrapings etc if necessary to figure out what's happening with your cat. Good luck.
Frontline stuff is pretty good, I used to use it on my two and my still uses it on her pets but I suppose potentially the cat could maybe have a reaction to that too? I asked about trauma or shock because a friend of mine has another cat stay with hers for the week while her brother was on holiday and her cats never really been the same since and went through a stage of grooming too much that the vet said was stress related.
