Thanks for the advise. I have just booked a week in Worthing mid-october.  Anyone wanna buy two tickets to the Bahamas this summer cos I won't be needing them now!!!!
I wouldn't go to the Bahamas, it's full of people from Worthing.

I agree acw - the 'new' HAPPYCHAPPIE posts really cracks me up too!
What inoculations do you need?

I'm considering a holiday in Worthing but need advice on a few points.

1. Where can I change my 's into hub caps & milk bottle tops?

2. What's the best way to avoid static shocks from the bri-nylon sheets used by all the B&B's?

3. Where is the best place to buy knotted handkies for my head? I don't want to look out of place when I arrive.

4. If I go out of season, say in November, will I need total sunblock or will Factor 25 suncream suffice?

5. Are there any courses I can go on to teach me the Worthing Tourist Etiquette of walking along the seafront at a slow enough pace to annoy everyone, whilst simultaneously holding an ice cream, a bag of chips, a cigarette, a video camera and binoculars. I also need to master the habit of stopping dead in my tracks and pointing at things in the sky.

i'll try and help thikasabrik.

1. sorry really not sure on this one as milk bottle tops are not commonly used anymore. are you absolutely sure they are still legel tender in Worthing ?

2.I never have a problem here cos i am from devon and  i never take my wellies off.  so i would suggest wearing wellies in bed.

3. I believe they can be bought quite cheaply from any branch of Peacocks. The only drawback is you have to put the knots in yourself which can be fairly tricky. But you are right not to want to look like an obvious tourist.

4. Again i don't have a problem as my farming smock is a perfect sunblocker!

5. I think the Worthing tourist board can provide you with a free leaflet full of handy tips on all these issues. If not try Eastbourne, Southend or Bogner who can send you similar which can be easily adapted for Worthing.

Hope this helps and enjoy your holiday.

Thanks for the advice cazz218. Tieing my own knots sounds very complicated so I may just abandon the whole idea and stay at home in Yorkshire.
