i want to sell the house and my ex husband says no as he is on deeds to house i cannot maintain it and afford to pay the bills and want to sell as i have a cash buyer waiting i have told him i will take him to court to forse a sale he left hpouse in 1997 and has not payed a penny on it i payed off morgage and pay all billls will i be able to get the courts to make him sell

I would visit your local citizens advice bureau. They will be able to give you advice without you having to pay a lawyer!
Check your final divorce settlement.  It seems very unusual that a divorced couple would remain jointly on the deeds of the former marital home without some further legal provision to deal with this eventuality.  CAB is always a good idea

You need to see a solicitor do you realise that he is entitled to half because his name is is on the deeds but if you see your solicitor he may beable to win you a higher percentage seeing that he has not contributed anything in years i would not hesitate.
