some people don't want to be by the sea (i do)
some people don't mind bees ect (i'm petrified)
some people don't want to learn a knew language ( i know some french and would be willing to learn it so i am fluent)

I've just come back from a holiday in New Zealand which might tick all your boxes. It is fantastic - especially the South Island. Only 1 m population. Didn't appear to be any violence or graffiti.
There are lots of places around lakes where you can park up and put a nominal sum in an honesty box. We saw lots of evidence where people had left tents set up and caravans while they worked in the week and used them at weekends without any danger of them being damanged.
Only thing you have to worry are the possums - which they love to squish as they are such pests.
If I was younger I'd seriously think about emigrating. They seem so much more relaxed then we are in the UK.
These are just some of my observations over 4 weeks
Everyone seems very friendly
