Just watched the beginning of Midsummer Murders. One of the characters was hit and was shown "dead" but had his eyes open. You saw him being shaken but his eyeballs never moved and he never blinked. How do they do that? I asked a similar question on AB some time ago about how you couldn't see actors eyeballs moving under their eyelids when they were dead. Answers seemed to suggest that it was a still of the person but I'm not convinced. Any thoughts????
When the actor is dead, he closes his eyes. They are then covered by false socket like contact lenses. I've played the dead body many times in amateur dramatics and that's what happens. Hopefully I'll get more speaking parts as my acting improves, films are my true ambition.
