Spotty eyes

I have a spot on my eye, on the cornea, over the iris. I think it is a dot of acrylic paint maybe, I was painting, is this possible? It seems fused hard, can't rub it off, but it has been irritating me for days. Will it cause permanent damage? how does paint manage to stick to such a surface? Could it be something else? A piece of ember?

Ah, ok, thanks. How do I get there? Can I use these fleshy objects below my waist and move them around on the pavement, or do I use that big metal cow with the funny light up eyes in my drive to magic me there?

5 day wait for doctor. 6 hour wait in casualty. No thanks.

Its your eyes. You cannot be too careful. Go to casualty and book the doctors appointment. It could be anything. I've got spatters of emulsion in my eyes before and the tears etc washed them out. Acyrilic is tougher stuff but I would be suprised if it had stuck fast. If it is affecting your vision, book an appointment. As i said before, you shouldnt take any chances.

Doctor it is then. Sorry woofgang, didn't mean to sound facetious. Since it is my eye, I ought to have some kind of right to same day service, but I don't.

If you can't get in to see your Doc for some time, you should go to the casualty department of you local hospital. You can never be too careful where your eyes are concerned. Good luck.

It would be a dam sight funnier than this. No. That's my eye. I just noticed when I photographed it that there appears to be some kind of iris colour distortion around the dot.

I posted a message on here a couple of days ago about smoking a cigarette and then burning a whole pack. I think maybe one of the embers may have flicked into my eye. Bummer.

Can you not get an appointment to see an optician if you have to wait 5 days for the doctor? They have the proper equipment to look at the surface of your eye closely & will refer you to the hospital if necessary.

MargeB : Britannia's answer was good.   My local Vision Express at the shopping centre have fantastic equipment.  You might have a branch near you. I hope you have done something.  If it was an ember it could have caused a tiny burn which might be OK in time, providing you don't get an infection - all too easy where the eyes are concerned.  You can get anti-infection drops if you go somewhere. The hospital A&E at the weekend but they would not generally have the special equipment for the eyes.  Moorfields in London have an A&E if you are near enough.
