I would like some ideas on places to visit in the Britain. Sachs has very kindly invited me to Manchester. I have never been to Manchester so I think it would be quite nice to go there.

Tell me where you live and what is great about it for future visiting destinations.

Also, where in the UK have you been to or would like to go?

I love going to mam tor ( i don't know how to spell is ) in castleton
Question Author
Do you mean Mam Tor in the Peak District, Derbyshire?
Yeah I must of been there about 10 times I love it and the museums and mines are always good,
Question Author
I've just looked it up on Wiki. It doeas look beautiful. I've never been there but it reminds me of the book Pride & Prejudice.
I live in York - the Minster - walled city - viking centre - medieval streets - river cruises - ghost walks. Trips out to the Yorkshire Dales and Moors (Heartbeat country)....
You didn't mention the Isle of Wight, which is a fanatstic place to visit. So many places to see and things to do, and all within easy reach wherever you are on the island.
Question Author
Sounds wonderful Craft. I like the sound of medieval streets and ghost walks.

And yes PD I have also been to the Isle of White. Very nice there.
If you come to Plymouth as naughtyboy suggested....I'll join you for a meal in th Barbican.

Where's naughtyboy.....he must be the only other Plymouth resi here....lol
Brighton ...

Because it's fab and jolly, and I'll take you out for lunch.

I have travelled widely around the UK. I've been to ...

Hove, Ditchling, Eastbourne, Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Rottingdean, etc etc.
Question Author
Sounds good Pasta x

I've been to Brighton hundreds of times. My cousin used to live in Hove years ago whilst attending Brighton Uni. I've never been in the Royal Pavillion though. Can you actually go inside?
Sure you can go inside, Tiggy.

I've even been to a performance of The Flying Dutchman inside the Pavillion, and that WAS jolly.

Oh, and Hove is generally called ... "Hove Actually"

=0)
Question Author
Ok I'll start calling it Hove Actually from now on. And now that I know I will make plans to visit the Pavillion. I like historical places.
The Pavillion is well worth a visit and a look round..

And Jayne's only been to Haywards heath and Burgess hill because she knows I used to live there and was stalking me ;)
Chuck ... it's a fair kop !! ... LOL

Tiggy ... as you probably know, Hove can be a bit sniffy, because everyone who lives there thinks it's posh.

If anyone asks a Hove resident if they live in Brighton, they'll say ...

"Well ... Hove, actually!"

By the same reasoning, Brighton is known as ...

"Brighton, Naturally"

I had a great time in Brighton when I was a teenager JJ, great place. :-}
Question Author
I'm not really into all the territorial stuff JJ. I just mentioned Hove as its near Brighton and my cousin had a flat there when he needed to get to Uni quickly.

I've been to Hastings as well.
