World wide picture messaging for missing Maddie
13 Answers
Gonna throw this out in a couple of catorgories as hopefully someone can answer....In the states, I believe they have pictures of missing children on the side of milk cartons etc, can anyone suggest a good reason why the mobile phone networks cannot issue a picture message with appropriate wording to all their subscribers? Appreciate that not everybody has a camera phone and that the media has little Maddie McCann's abduction covered on a daily basis....but it could be another source of coverage! Not everyone, especially teenagers, watch the news or read papers, but they nearly all have a mobile! Surely, in the desperate bid to find this little girl, every little helps??

Hard face heads of business would even see the free publicity if , God willing, it led to her being found! Anyone out there from the mobile phone companies???
I know it's tragic, but why pick on this one case? There's hundreds of missing persons, including kids, in the UK alone. There's also a missing kids website too but I wonder how many people have ever looked at it? Would you want all their pictures on your phone and would you scroll through them all whenever you saw a kid in the street?
cascarelli...thank you for remaining detatched and objective! You make a fair point about hundreds of missing kids in the UK....BUT, imagine that who ever has taken her is in a shop/cafe/on a bus and sitting opposite them is a group of teenagers fiddling with their mobiles, as is their wont, and a message appears from T-mobile, Vodaphone, O2 etc. Not for one minute suggesting people walk around 3 foot from the floor, glaring at any passing child and then at their phone...And no missing child is any less important than another but time is still on the McCann's side!
This is one of many doing the rounds, you can copy it to an email, and forward it to as many people as you know, there is also a poster that yopu can download.

Thanks Lonnie, for the link to my blog, I appreciate that.
NixnJay I understand where you are coming from, it is a good idea but either the phone companies haven't thought of this yet or they won't pay up the cash needed for it.
I am devastated about the disappearance of little Maddie, and all other missing or abducted children. Which is why I have displayed all the information clearly on my blog and have done quite a lot to try to spread the word. To date, quite a few other bloggers are starting to pass on the information, no matter where they are, even USA, because blogs are read by thousands of people a day from all over the world.
If you are a blogger, or if you want the information, or would like to download a poster of Maddie in your language, to help with the search, you can go here http://princesseecossaise.blogspot.com
As for emails, it is a bit of a tricky way to do things because once a missing child is found, the emails continue to get passed on. I am often receiving emails about missing children in the USA who have frequently been found, or are in fact totally made up.
