I didn't think that anyone in the UK had a 'cell phone' (which is an American term). Just about everyone (even young children) though, seem to have a 'mobile' ;-)
I try to use mine as little as possible. I'm usually unemployed but I get occasional casual work where I'm required to supervise teams of people who're often spread out over a wide area, so I need my phone purely for (occasional) work purposes. But I don't suppose that I use more than about a fiver's credit on personal calls during an entire year. (While work occasionally requires me to send a text, I've never sent a personal text in my life. I hate texting as a means of communication).
If I could 'uninvent' a few things, mobile phones would be near the top of my list!
