Cloudy today here in Gloucestershire :-( Yesterday was gorgeous! Warm and sunny all day. We were very busy at the Heritage Centre.
Have a good day everyone. :-)

They suspect Glandular Fever (Epstein Barr) and there is no specific anti-viral drug that works on it, so there is nothing that they can do. They recommend anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen) and analgesia such as paracetamol to bring the fever down. Just spoke to the receptionist who tells me that my blood result was 'normal'. I just asked what that meant and she said, my blood count is normal! FFS that doesn't tell me anything. I just explained the situation and she said there was a result there for viral studies, which hasn't yet been checked by the Doctor, and could I ring back later. The mind boggles...........
I would take that as a reason to go to bed with a cup of hot chocolate :-).
Do you think we've hijacked this thread? I'm just getting a vibe here......... Nobody else has spoken since we got into this discussion. Perhaps I've unwittingly upset some people. :-(

Honestly, I nearly burst into tears when talking with the lady on the phone. She was so dismissive, like I was wasting her time. I've been ill for 3 weeks now, and I am not getting any better. I really don't think that receptionists should give out blood test results, as they don't know what they're friggin talking about.
We might of hi-jacked this thread. Sorry everyone

We could start a new thread

Don't be upset with the lady on the phone somthing could be wrong with her. 3 weeks of being ill ! Thats not good when I was 10 I spent 6 weeks in hospital. Its awful isn't it you feel like you haven't been well for ages
Just spoke to her again, and trust me....... there's definitely SOMETHING wrong with her! I asked for the Doc to call me back (so maybe I'll actually find out what my results are) and you'd have thought I'd asked her to scale mt Everest for me!

Is there anyone alive out there? Speak up.........
NExt time if you speak again ask can you have the docs direct number then you won't have to go through via snobby receptionist
I didn't mean to press down the shift keys
Well, apparently, I have to wait for the duty doc to call me back, and he's going to be at least an hour! Deep joy!

Seriously............is there anyone alive out there? I'm about to send out an AB search party. Do you think we'll find any survivors?
Mabey the entire world has been eaten by zombies and we are the only survivors.

Oh wait knobby has just posted somthing on your other thread
I'm here NoMercy. Doesn't seem a lot to join in on this morning x Sorry to hear you have been so poorly x
Good Morning waterboatman and all who are on this lovely thread. Sorry for my tardiness today, I have been spoiled rotten with a long lie in. We are going to Bath later today. xx
Finally Survivors :-)
Oops I posted without reading the thread, sorry to interrupt. I do hope that you feel better soon No Mercy.

Bye. xx
No probs Charisse. We were waiting for someone to go do that.
PMSL @ "survivors"!!It is very quiet.
Morning rinkins! How was your easter w/end? x
Not too bad thanks NM, quite quiet but nice! I assume yours was not great as you were feeling rough?
Hi rinkins. Easter sunday roast at my parents' (Lamb) and Easter Monday roast at my Nan's (Turkey). We're very family-orientated people, so dinner is a gathering and a feast. I managed to do all the veg both days (I'm the only one who understands the concept of Al Dente) but found myself lying on the couch for the rest of the days. Telly was utter cr@p again, so not point in staying awake anyway !!
