I want a baby
Hi everyone, any tips on falling pregnant? I am under a consultant who has given me hormones (clomid) I have already been on them for 3 months and recently went back for more advise. I have now been put on a double dose of clomid for a further 3 months. Because the high levels of hormones in my little body i get very emotional. I get so upset at the fact that i am having problems. I have good days and bad days but mostly bad. I feel this depression is effecting my chances of falling pregnant. Please help!

Hi Toni, I do hope things work out for you. I thought I would need Fertility treatment, as this is what GPs and Gynaes always told me. I have PCOS and Fibroids and was on Metformin for many years. I never really tried to get pregnant, as it was never the right time for me.
Anyway, at 39, I discovered I was pregnant and my baby will be born in 9 weeks. Just try to focus on the end result and why you are doing this. The Clomid will naturally make you feel bad, but hopefully everything will come right and you will fall pregnant soon.
Good luck

I have previously been on Clomid and have also had various scans etc due to having PCOS. I started taking 1 tablet of clomid for 3 months, and then I was put onto 2 tablets for 3 months, unfortunatly Clomid did not work for me,it did make me feel upset for no reason and felt like I wanted to cry for no reason at times, so I think its just the effect the tablet has on you, I have now been referred to a Fertility specialist who I go to see on the 30th, which I was told will prob end up with me trying Metformin. I have been trying for 2 years now, I just keep thinking that one day I might get that little bundle I am wanting and thats what keeps me going, dont give up, if its what you really want it will all be worth it in the end, lollyone who comes on here was at the same stage as me at one point and she now has a baby, and I very often think of that as one day I hope to get there too x (sorry for mentioning you lollyone :-) )
I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20's Derbysgal and never really thought about children. I started taken Metformin privately over 10 years ago, before it was even licensed to treat PCOS.
I think my pregnancy is in God's plan, as all these years I've never fallen pregnant and then suddenly I found out last September, it was a real shock and surprise. Anyway, my mum died on Mother's day and will never get to meet my little one, but I think the fact I'm pregnant has given me the strength to deal with her death alot better than I ever dreamt I would.
Maybe Metformin will help you too Derbysgal, all you can do is try and keep persevering. I hope both you and Toni both fulfill your desire to become mothers. Good luck.

Im Sorry to hear about your mum.
Im hoping it does work, sometimes feels like Im getting nowhere fast, and all my friends and people around me seem to be getting pregnant :-(
Im back at the hospital in 2 weeks time so Im hoping things might start to get moving a bit as I have been referred to a fertility specialist and apparantly PCOS is his speciality :-)
