Scans
Does anyone know what the earliest point would be to be able to see a baby on a trans-vaginal scan?

I went for a scan yesterday as I've had some tummy pains - going on the normal "first day of last period" dates they reckon that I'm 7 weeks, but I know that I can't be more than 5 weeks at the most (which I have expained to the hospital). The sonographer said she couldn't see anything other than 3 small cyst-like objects, and I've got to go back next week for another one. This is my first pregnancy, so I'm panicking about everything!
Hi sunbeam.
The earliest is 6 weeks with a vaginal scan. I had to wait until I was 6 weeks before I could have a scan as I was bleeding quite heavily. I asked if I could have it sooner but I couldn't until I was 6 weeks. Unfortunatly, I had lost my baby but I hope everything goes well with you. Good luck. x
