Having read these two reports in this newspaper the immigration problem is worse than what is being reported in the national newspapers.

Children as young as ten are now being put on lorries by their mothers, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and even safe Tunisia.

Katie Harris, head of the city council's fostering and adoption service, said: "We are dealing with some very damaged children when they arrive here but it is amazing how time spent in a place of safety can help.

"Their mothers would be proud of them."Ah! it brings tears to one's eyes.

Many do not set out to specifically come to Britain but find they are rejected by immigration officials in other European countries such as France and Germany.

If the applicant meets the criteria under the 1951 UN Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, he will be granted asylum.

Surely these two statements are a contradiction of terms?

Incidentally, how many British troops have been killed in Afghanistan due to a suicide bomber?

Perhaps we should invite, the whole of the Afghan people including the Taliban, over to these shores, perhaps then all our soldiers would be safe?

I noticed you never remarked on the latest excuse they are using for coming over here, 'their father beats them'.

Our social workers can't address this problem with our own young, never mind the additional problem of the language barrier.

Every time I look up, I see immigrants opening new shops, developing businesses, putting money into the country.

Get more in and perhaps plasma screen-watching, dole-collecting, teenage-mother-producing, Jeremy-Kyle watching Brits will get off their bums and follow their excellent example.

Well seeing you are over generalising regarding the British, (which I presume you class yourself as British also) I thought I might also have a go.

Every time time I look up I see immigrants.........

Developing bomb factories, blowing up buses, nipping off to Pakistan to train as terrorists, fighting our troops in Afghanistan, living off benefits, strangling our NHS, over-crowding our schools, creating a housing shortage.

I could go on but you get the gist.
