How do I apply to be on Shipwrecked 2009?

I am having a gap year and would love to get involved with Shipwrecked as part of it. Does anyone know how I can apply to be on the next series?

I'm not sure if you can apply yet but at the end of the last series they said if people wanted to apply for the next one they should go on to the website where you have to fill in an online application form. I applied and they asked you questions like why you want to do it and your interests, fears etc. They also ask for a couple of pics. I think they then invite everyone for an interview ( I assume they invite everyone cos a couple of my friends also applied and they got asked to go as well.) I didn't actually go to my interview because it was in june and I had exams and stuff but my friends said that they got people to go into a room in threes and then to say in 30 seconds why you'd be good on shipwrecked to a panel. If they liked you you got to go on camera for a minute saying why you should go on the show and more about yourself. Thats all I know really but hope that helps and sorry about the essay!
