Chest pains - Sqad are you there?
18 Answers
Perhaps I am worrying unduly about this. An old friend of mine just called and asked me if I would consent to be the executor of his will. We talked about a few things and he said he had been feeling unwell over the last few days and this is what has prompted it. His symptoms are pain centred round his heart. He is in town at the moment and was going to pop round but said on his way into town he felt the pain and a real tightness in his chest. I told him NOT to come round and get himself either to his doctors asap. He is 43, quite overweight, drinks quite a lot and leads a sedentary life style.
Am I worrying unduly? Should I just go collect him and get him down the hospital?

You do have a life Sqad! He is OK - apparently the ECG didn't show anything bad but they have done blood tests and blood pressure and lord knows what else.
As for me, Doc suggested it is a cyst although is not sure, but said that there was clearly something going on which he would like a specialist to see. I have been referred to the breast clinic, but not fast tracked so clearly he is not too worried.
But thanks for your advice and support. BMx

Hospitals tend to be really good with chest pain.
Mine drove me mad until I could tell what it was, firstly with really bad acid reflex and more recently as my ribs tend to pop out of place and bits swell up and have had a few scary moments.
I was lucky as my GP was just up the road from work and we have a walk in centre so didn't have to trouble A&E most times. Had some random suggestions but they always ruled out heart problems which was the main thing.
Always best to get checked out.
