Is there a site that calculates how much money per mile my car does? Or does anyone know an easy calculation that doesn't require three slide rules, a protractor and a lady in a spangly leotard to help you do it?

I ask because I'm trying to prove to a colleague that I haven't overcharged them on a lift.

Thank you.

pence_per_mile = pence_per_litre x 4.5 / mpg

(number of litres in a gallon = 4.5)

so if you get 30 mpg and fuel is 92p per litre:

pence_per_mile = 92 x 4.5 / 30 = 13.8
thanks eltelioni :)
Makes you feel unappreciated, eh, eltelioni?
I should be used to it by now.
