Is anyone else loving this series? The critics have been quite nasty but I think it's great. Sarah Lancashire is brilliant and so are the rest of the cast - the only dodgy bit is Sarah Alexander's dubbed singing voice but the rest is really enjoyable and a delight to watch. Anyone else agree?

I thought this would be really naff - but I actually think it's great and am loving it.

I am also slightly in love with that vicar - if my vicar was like him, I'd start going to church regularly...

I hope Sarah Lancashire's character ends up with him, but unfortunately I think we can all see she's going to take her stupid shallow husband back.

But the fat woman played by Annette Badlands - I know we are suposed to hate her - and I really do. She has a face like a slapped arse, and I indeed do just want to smack it.

I keep telling everyone to watch it... They can catch up on BBC IPlayer.. its brilliant every week I'm so angry I want to slap the husband..Sara Alexander and the nasty couple equally..
