I have questioned the quiz setter about this one, telling her that Google says its Ann Davidson, but she is adamant there is another one whose surname begins with g, but we will have to look hard to find it.I think its unfair when everyone says its Ann, but she expects us to find the one she's found! I have looked in a biography dictionary, and it isn't in there either. She has now put me off her quizzes completely! There, I,ve said my bit, but still nobody has come up with an answer!
the question does NOT say SOLO !!
their is this Lady .... but not beginning with a 'g'

Really sorry, poodledoo, that this one question has put you off my quizzes for the future. I had toyed with the idea of voiding this question because everyone is having so much trouble with it, but then received two returned entries, both with the correct answer. So it must be possible to find.
Will bear this in mind, though, when compiling future quizzes, and stick to better-known people if you like.

thanks BJ, to my mind its only worth sending off a quiz if you are reasonably sure you've got everything right. I have to check the answers on Google , so have already spent a lot of time on the 80plus questions, and find one missing answer frustrating. Some people obviously have a lot more time to complete quizzes than I do, and they obviously prefer a challenge, so I don,t know whwere that leaves you. Theres more satisfaction in winning if you've solved the most difficult clue, but on the other hand you want to encourage people to enter in the first place, not to put them off.For my part, I hope Ventpeg is right!
