getting married with no parents

my partner and i are in our 30s have kids but not with each other would like to get married but on our own and no parents there what do you think about this?? just want to **** off and do it on our own

My father did this second time around and then joyfully announced it in the local paper. I and my step-brother and sister were not very happy but I suppose as long as my father and step-mother were that was the main thing.

oh no i wouldnt do anything like that just want to do it quietly and on our own no interfering parents and at a low low cost hey wonder if they do wedding s in aldi ?? lol

Go and do it and tell them later, I did for a variety of reasons.

We went to Gretna with the kids as witnesses and best man! We told everyone that was what they wanted and they were fine (witnesses have to be 17!)

Drove up on the Friday came back on the Sunday. Only the eldest two were old enough to be witnesses and the youngest became unofficial best man. The only down side was the fact that we all brought a CD for the car from the west country and had to listen to the Best of the Spice girls from my step daughter and Teach Yourself Japanese from hubby LOL

How about you go off and get married on your own the way you want to and have a party for everyone once your back. Just a disco and buffet, and if your parent's don't seem too happy about you getting married without them then let them play a small part in organising the party.
