Holiday Destination

I guess this is the wrong section for this, but I'm desperate to get a holiday booked within the next couple of days. My boyfriend and I are limited as to when we can go due to work commitments but we're looking at 10 days from 6th to 16th May 2009. Can anyone recommend a destination that would have nice, hot weather this early on in the year? I've tried to persuade him towards Florida, as it's already 28 or 29 degrees there at the moment, but he can't stretch to that. Our budget is about �600 each for the 10 days and we're not fussy as to whether it's long or short haul. We just want nice weather!

canaries are great all year round.

I was in tenerife 3 weeks ago, high 20's and it was 300 each half board

Ha! You took the words out of my mouth. Are they warm at this time of year? We're looking for 25 or 26 degrees as a minimum really. Bit optimistic I think!

book an flat / appartment on the beach.
hire car, drive around pleasing yourselves

I agree-the Canaries. I was there just over a month ago....and it was warm to hot the whole time,with coolish evenings. Nice for March!!

Just back from Sharm in Egypt where it was about 28 - 29. All inclusive for a week was �497 and it was brilliant, good luck with your search

Goa is around 32 degrees at the moment. You can get a holiday for around �500 each.

Most of Europe is going to be early 20's.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to look into Lanzarote I think. I'm looking for minimum of 25 degrees, so that might be pushing it. I will look into Sharm though. Always thought that was full of 5* hotels and out of our budget, but will give it a go!

We went to Turkey the 3rd of may last year it was mid twenties everyday some of the evenings were chilly tho for out side dining . We stayed near side.
