Hya Pasta, very odd, but my email ends .com
, so I take it you don't know the people in the photos?
I suppose you could post one of them on say, FaceBook and ask anyone if they know who they are?
i only got an email once fron america it think ,it is a proper job application, a nice cover letter in the email then a cv in the the attachment.
probably they just sent to wrong address by mistake?
I would send the e-mail back to whoever sent it with a short note but on another thought I probably would not have opened it in the first place if I didn't know who it was from.
Mmmm...it is a yahoo addy......mine,here in the UK is .co.uk.........but my brother's in the States is .com...that is why I was thinking the mystery EM came from there
the rest of the addy is correct tho......
if the email address in the "to" field was .com and not .co.uk (which you say yours is) then you would not have got the email unless you were either CC'd or BCC'd on it.
it's probably spam, do not send it back as that will just confirm your address is a real email address and you will get flooded with spam.
Just delete it
(incidentally .com is not American, it's totally none location specific and can be used anywhere in the world, the american top level domain is .co.us)
I don't think it's just abroad pasta, that has .com, as I said, mine here in the uk ends that way, thing is if you do press reply and send them back, you could be opening yourself up to abuse, so rather than doing the FaceBook thing as I 1st suggested, I would perhaps save them to a folder just incase it is a genuine mistake, then I would block the senders address.
i agree with Chuckfickens - just put a block on it and delete it pasta - I used to get loads of these weird emails from the USA covering a multi-tude of silly subjects. In fact they stopped for around a year and now they have started up again. They could also contain viruses.
Yes sorry I should not have said send it back. Just wasn't thinking I am the first one to try and stop spam as every e -mail I forward I always delete all the e-mail address and send bcc. I don't think I would have opened it though.
Pasta, as I said, you would not have received it, unless your correct email address was either another address in the to field, or in the CC field, or more likely, in the BCC field.
it sounds like address harvesting to me, send a innocent looking email to thousands of addresses and see how many people reply saying "sorry I think you must have sent this to the wrong address" make a note of all the addresses you get replies from and you can start building up a list of email addresses to spam (or sell) in future.
chuck is right, i can get emails sent into my junk mail that are not quite addressed correctly, have you not got a filter thing that would have identified it as an unknown sender and put it in your junk mail box?
