it is to put rear facing baby seat in the passenger seat, which i thought was perfectly legal

I totally understand your view Jenjo, but I would still contact your Insurance & explain what answer you give, Insurance comp look for any excuse in the book not to pay out so be one step ahead of them, that's the way I would go about it, but the decision is obviously yours.
