I have been trying to sign in to Msn and Hotmail and it won,t let me . When I go to troubleshoot it comes up with "your gateway appears to be offline " and I haven't a clue what to do. (I may have done this before). Thanks for any help.

Go to TOOLS on the upper right hand corner of your page
un-check 'work offline'.....that should do it

I have gone to TOOLs but it doesn't say work offline anywhere.

"delete
Diagnose
Pop-up
Phishing
Manage."..and then
"Work offfline.........."

Is there not a "repair" option under 'trouble-shoot'????

You can also try googling the hotmail site...that has also worked for me

Yes their is repair but nothing happens. i have done this before and I did find "work offline" but can't remember where. I think I am getting too old for this. Thanks for your help anyway pastafreak. I will keep trying but don't know how.

Good luck hun...I am an 'oldie' also...and have found solutions only by trial and error.

Are you still there "pastafreak". my daughter in law has just had a go and the firewall was blocking MSN. All ok now. Thanks for trying to help.

Ahhh..good to hear it's been sorted.

click on file select the work offline.

you will be online
you can also reset the internet explorer, so that all the settings back.
