... I was getting ready for work this morning at some ungodly hour (6 a.m.) - heard the local news headlines in the background whilst I was flossing. "Local nurse from west yorkshire hospital charged with the murder of 4 ugly women".

I thought, that's a bit much really. Who is he to decide who's ugly or not? Isn't murder a bit harsh? Couldn't he have just suggested a Gok Wan makeover or something?

Then I realised it actually said ....charged with the murder of 4 elderly women. Phew! Still bad though. :-(

Obviously not that funny then ? :-(
Yes its funny! I'm just glad you heard it wrong! Caffeine obviously hadn't kicked in then? You really shouldn't get up so early!

no caffeine had passed my lips at that stage. I was still rubbing the sleep from my eyes & groaning with my stiff post-gardening joints (I always have a joint after gardening...)

And stiff ones at that?! You obviously worked very hard!
OH sorry I've just re-read - you meant lamb or beef! Unless you had some pork?!
Question Author
Planting roses - ouch!
Weeding - boring.
Pruning - satisfying.
Planting sweet peas - tedious.
Break for refreshments - often & welcome.
Pressure washing garden furniture & pathways - great fun.
End result: Knackered, wet and aching.
Treatment: A well deserved nice big stiff one.

Err, didn't mean lamb, beef or pork actually! Though I prefer a nice joint of forerib of beef anytime over a bit of pork. Especially after gardening when I ache all over :-)
See you do put yourself in the firing line! salla

Stiff one! LOL
salla...rang my cruise mate this morning and when I asked how she was she replied.........dirty...sweaty...and soaking. When I asked if she had a man round it was....'NO I'm bloody pressure washing the patio'. Is this something one does when the sun comes out 'cos frankly I was disappointed.

...the girl can't help it ;-)
Question Author
I love a bit of pressure washing - very satisfying and you can see the progress & improvement right in front of your eyes.

Craft - I'm a tad miffed with you girl. I noticed this morning you referred to me on another thread as a Mary Magdelene trollop.... I bet you thought I wouldn't see that?!!
oh yes I did salla......I think trollope is a lovely word....it's like naughty but nice...so there!
Question Author
Actually craft - I'm not offended by trollop - I think it's a great work and it conjures up images of a buxom wench with tendrils of hair curling down into the cleavage, rosy cheeks.... think Charles Dickens but without the poverty, grime & murder.
