The Moon
Remember when you could buy a small plot of land on the moon from places like WHSmiths etc, is it really yours, how do you know where it is and if NASA lands on you 'plot', can you take them to court for tresspassing? :-p
thanks!

This is similar to when it was considered no one owned america and the irish were allowed to go and stake a claim to the land for a fee. Technically it is possible that your plot on the moon is legal as it is a claim by an individual thats recorded and documented to the area stated in the pack. and as it states, no country or government may own any land in outer space however there is no reference to an individual owning it.
I would love to see american astronaughts land on an area that belonged to someone and see how it stands up in court if the person claiming damages etc went through all the legal rulings over it.
