Jack and 4No  5's. One of the fives being the turned up card and the jack being the same suit as the turned up 5.

Jack + each of the fives(15) = 4* 2points =8

Using all the fives, you can get another 4 sets of 15 = 8pts

There are 6 sets of pairs of 5's (2pts each)= 12

Jack same suit as turned up 5 is 'one for his nob' = 1pt

Total 8+8+12+1=29

 

 

The highest possible hand is J; 5; 5; 5, with starter being 5 of the same suit as the Jack. There are four fifteens by combining the Jack with a five, four more by combinations of the three fives (a total of 16 for fifteens). The double pair royal adds 12 for a total of 28; and his nobs adds 1 for a maximum score of 29 (the score of 2 for his heels does not count in the total of the hand, since it pegged before play).
