Windows Live Messenger .... Help!!

My problem at moment is that from Windows Live Messenger ----> it tells me I have emails ----> I click on the emails 'button' BUT my emails do NOT open up, as they should do!!!!

So, I am going to try and delete, then re-install Windows Live Messenger to see if that solves problem!! But, I need to be sure what programs relate to Windows Live Messenger!!

I have these programs .....
Windows Live Essential
Windows Live Sign-in Assistant
Windows Live Sync
Windows Live Update Tool

I have IE7 downloaded (having reversed download of IE8, which was a disaster to use)

before doing anything make sure IE is set to be your default browser

open IE click tools > internet options then click on the programs tab, and then click make default about half way down.

do u know which are the programs to delete and reinstall?

make the home page as the Google or the other so that it will not ask you for the new messages in your live messengers

you can make the IE browser as the default home page.
