Ohhh!!! You've just reminded me now, rabbity - I HAVE seen it!! Beam! Think it was on TV though. Just thought of another one - The Elephant Man, with Cher as the mother. It didn't actually make me cry, but it was very sad, being as though it was based on a true story.
Yes Imhotep - Braveheart - if only for the fact that poor Mel met a gruesome end! Lol.
Ice, are you thinking of Mask? Don't think Cher was in The Elephant Man.

OOps chappie - you're right. So sorry!!
Yes, I was trying to type, reply to a text and thinking about Mask as I remembered it, but the guy supposedly suffered from the same awful condition as the "Elephant Man" didn't he?
Hiya rabs...!....
Ooh,never heard of that one Kate.
Must watch out for that!
I must admit there are a couple more which brought tears of joy just watching.Do these count?
The Lion King (a brilliant film from start to finish)
and Les Choristes (which I have on dvd. It's a french film with subtitles, and it's about a french school which has a class of kids learning to sing, and among them is a boy who has the finest voice of any of them.He sang so wonderful that it brought a tear to my eye.A highly enjoyable film with just a bit of bad langauge)
and finally ,
The Devils Backbone (a spanish film with subtitles)
and Pan's Labyrinth (when the girl got killed in the end)
