A thought TW do any of the regulars who are going have a digital camera they could bring along we could maybe post some pics on the site (with the AB ed's permission) and let the others see just who we are?? oohi have another possible to add to your list as well donnie darko has said if circumstance allow he'll come along.

There has been a suggestion that pictures from the convention be posted on the site. However, I have received a number of complaints about this, and I tend to agree...

The site allows contributors to remain anonymous - and that's part of the fun. If you want to meet up at the convention, that's fine (though we do not endorse it in any way) but we shall not post pictures of the event on the site.

AB ed can you outline exactly the nature of the complaints? As all the people going to the convention are consenting adults who's permission would be asked b4 any pics would be used I can't see any objections? We have one positive as far as I can see from TJ so what's the problem? Yet again you are thwarting the wishes of the most important people on the site, your most regular users.

I have to agree with sft42. What possible harm could it do if people's photo's are added with their consent. It could only be a positive addition, and demonstration of the success of the site so far. It seems to me that 'The powers that be' are exercising control here more out of fear of the regular users 'taking over' than any practical reason. End of rant.
