rain in your area
6 Answers
There doesn't seem to have been a weather question this year, not on this Topic anyway. Mine is specifically about rain, as the forecasts for regions are one thing, but one forgets about looking back . How long is it since it rained long and hard in your neck of the woods, please? It seems a long time dry-ish in my area; mostly it has been cold and windy. I was thinking about it this morning and, lo, this afternoon there was quite a long period of rain. Not a remarkable amount though. I have a water meter now, and no garden, so there has been a big difference in my attitude. Our water company made noises weeks ago about a drought possibility.

Here in Norfolk ,we are on the coast, about ten days ago it chucked it down all day and then we had a hailstorm but no significant rain since.A few half hearted showers otherwise it has been cool and blustery. We don't seem to get half as much rain here as we used to when we lived in south London. We were there for twenty years and we always seemed to get a lot of rain in the winter months.I find it is much drier in this part of the world.
