does anyone believe they have been here before??

carrying on to smudges question about life after death..has anyone ever felt they have been here before..either by visiting somewhere that felt familiar or skills they have that come easy..i could cook a dinner at age 8 and no one showed me how..the parents allways worked and i was home alone so to pass the time i would cook...and i can bake bread as easy as opening a can ..yet i had very little in the way of cookery lessons and the mother didnt show me how..and on the odd occasion i have felt i have been places before ...i did myself a past life reading once and that said i was a cook and the husband a groom who died in a horse riding accident..its all very strange as horses love me..and the feelings are mutual..i would love to be regressed and see what comes up..i may look into it..

at home on my own..using the tarot and meditation..i know its only my own method..i did a diploma in the tarot and had to do past life readings as part of it..so i practised on myself..i would love to get regressed if i could find a genuine person to do it..as you have to be carefull who you pay as some only want your money..

Have read some interesting books on the subject, though I can't say that I'm 100 per cent convinced, though it would be interesting to be regressed. I do sometimes get the feeling that some people are brand new souls and have never been here before, weird isn't it?

i did a certificate in 1995 followed by a diploma the person that taught me seems to have vanished allthough she had a shop and business and was also an author at the time..i did it by post and she was a really hard taskmaster..she pushed me big time..i did another diploma last year from one of these correspondence colleges better not name them and it was rubbish i didnt even get my cards out to answer the questions i just wrote the answers and threw it in the letter box..and passed with 98%..that was a waste of money big time..sometimes things just feel familiar i have childhood memorys of going places and i felt i knew the place..my brother in law got regresed once and it seemed like far fetched..i didnt believe it allthough he was full of it as he was really involved with it as he was living with a psychotherapist at the time..i am sure their are genuine people that do this and maybe one day i may get mine done and make my own mind up..i would have to be comfortable with what they found for me to believe..not silly and far fetched findings or else i would just laugh it off..

i was adopted and all the mother wanted was a child the same as everyone else as soon as i was adopted she went back to work..as she was a career person..she used to beat me and we moved several times as neighbours threatend to lynch her..she wanted a nice quiet clean child and got me that used to come in filthy and torn from climbing trees..etc..i hated the sight of her and used to hit her back as i am strong and she wasnt as strong as me..i am also strong in mind so she didnt harm me mentally..i didnt go to her funeral..the dad was okay but she used to tell lies and say i had done things i hadnt..the dads sister used to have me in the school holidays and i owe everything to her..she even took me off them at one stage..in the late 50s you didnt have social workers and all these laws and regulations so kids were free to roam..it was different then to now..i think she was unbalanced as she was the most selfish person i have ever met dad had a horridble life with her he used to say if it wasnt for me he would have left her..in those days you just grinned and got on with it..

what a sad story, Oxeyedaisy.  I'm sorry to hear about your childhood.  I don't understand why people like that want to have children, or adopt.  It's beyond me.  The main this is that your a story person!  My gran with an evil woman, she was horrible to my mum and hated my dad, all of the family in fact.  It sounds horrible, but at her funeral a couple of years ago.....I felt relieved more than anything.

Anyway, back to your question.  Sometimes I do get that strange feeling that "I've been here before" - I do believe that you must come back as something when you die.....I'd love to find out what I was in my previous life.

I defintely believe in past lives. My dad is a councellor and healer and has done lots of work on his own past lives. I pestered him on day so i could find out about mine and he did some work on me and it wasn't exactly hypno but more meditation with him guiding me, was really interesting but quite un-nerving all the same. I found out that i was a male indian warrior in a tribe and my wife died while giving birth to our baby, i saw myself by a fire with her in front of me and myself crying on the floor in front of her, that was quite scary but explains alot to me and how i am in some situations even today. My dad explained that past lives can affect us in present lives unless we release past karma, so this helped me. There was a few more i wont go into them too much as some are rather personal, but one other was where i was locked in a cell to basically die, i had been wrongly blamed for something i had not done and had been set up by two other of my so called friends. Afterwards it felt like it explained alot to me and i feel almost better for being able to understand things at a deeper level. I don't think some lives are meant to be known but the relevant ones can be if you want them to be although i know some prefer not to know. Each to there own and all that.
