Hee , that reminds me of visiting grandma as a teenager , when it was quiet all you could hear was click clack of the knitting needles , plus the odd click of her false teeth and the occasional churp from her budgie .x
Sorry JJ I meant carrust.

ear-plugs
:)
also handy for drowning out conversation!
Or ya could BUY her the stuff she's knitting, ya scrooge!
Carrust. Much to your surprise, yes there are silent knitting needles, they are made from bamboo. A bit more expensive than ordinary needles, but they are very quiet in use. I use them when I find time to knit. So get yourself off to the haberdashery shop, and buy her some. they can be bought separately, if you know the size required, or you can even buy a full set in a roll-up case, or a boxed set. Your 'missus' would be pleased, and you can get a bit of peace from the clackety-clack. Best wishes. Schutz.
Bamboo knitting needles... chopsticks?
i know that you can get a silencer for a revolver carrust. maybe that's the solution?
snags. :-) I suppose you could use them for chopsticks, as well, although I haven't tried that.

Thanks for that shutz. I could also use them for kebabs!
