80's tv drama

I hope you can help,I remember watching a TV drama with a guy with blond hair (possibly the bloke out of the show "Metal Mickey"), he was a punk/new romantic, I think he had pink hair or a girlfriend that had pink hair, I think it was set in London on a council estate?????? It was early 80's possibly 1982. Does anyone know the name/who the actor was? I know it's vague but any help would be great!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's any help, I think Gary Shail was the blond actor in Metal Mickey.
