what about cruises?

anyone know if i could get a reasonably priced cruise for my summer hols? Or are they all pretty pricey? Recommendations/ideas welcome...!! usually go for the typical sunbathing hol...but i fancy something difficult. As question below indicates, we wont have money til end July. any new exciting ideas welcome...! thanks

there's quite a few being advertised in the travel pages of newspapers at the moment - Saturday or Sunday morning mainly. (Broadsheets anyway; haven't seen any tabloids.)

you fancy something difficult or different? If you are a walk around and enjoy space sort of person then a cruise would not be for you. If you would like to see several places in one trip then it would be. They look very cheap as jno says in the papers as the popularity of these holidays seem to have dropped and no longer have the stigma of only for the rich vacations.

We went on Ocean Village no dressing for dinner also food is self-service, but plenty of choice and you get the chance to try something different and if you don't like it go back for something else, or have as many desserts as you want!,  food is available 24 hours a day. Some did not like not being waited on etc.   Plenty of bars and entertainment, staff excellent,  just not as posh as some cruise ships
