Cycling John O' Groats to Land's End

I am considering joining a charity sponsored cycle on this route next year. (Maybe not the whole distance but a section.)
I know the organisers will provide the route etc. but out of interested I tried various map/route sites to see what they came up with.
Most only seem to provide for cars.
Via Michelin does provide routes for cyclists but limited to a distance of 200km. (It also provides routes for pedestrians limited to 50Km.)
Google maps was the only one I found that would provide a route for the whole distance by foot (no cycle option).
The strange thing is, its route went via Belfast and the Isle of Man (using ferries, of course - no walking on water, here!) thus short-changing the walker/cyclist of much of the distance between Glasgow and Liverpool.
(I know it's easy to tweak the route by dragging it via Newcastle for instance.)
Just thought it was of interest.

Thanks for the links, Chris. I had actually seen them before but had, for interest, wanted to compare other route programs and found it interesting.
