can toddlers get headaches?

My daughter, who will be 3 in june, is complaining about her head. She says that its sore just above her left ear. I have checked and there doesn't seem to be anything there. is it possible for 3 year olds to get headaches?

I have something that i give her but she complains everyday. Just getting worried that it could be something serious.

yes anyone old or young can get a headache. Does the medicine make it better? How long has she been complaining about it? If it's more than a few days, I'd get her checked out by a gp. Maybe its not a headache, could be an ear infection. Hope she's feeling better soon!

if she is complaining every day then take her to GP. She may be getting headaches or it may just be that shes saying it for attention for some reason.

Have you checked that she's not got any top teeth coming through? My son would spend ages with his hand on his head just above his ear or rubbing his head in the same place and as soon as his teeth came through it stopped. Just a thought....hope she's feeling better soon

it might be worth while having her eyes checked too. my friends son kept complaining of headaches when he was about 4 and it turned out that he needed glasses.

you need to take her to a doctor right away. do not diagnose on a child. let the PD do it. it might be nothing but then again it could be something serious. headaches every day is not good. my daughter experienced headaches for a while. i took her to the doctor who did many test, eventually we realized that she needed glasses. but you do not know what your daughter's ailment is. let the doc examine her
