Because she would be an uncomfortable reminder of the old decadent Clinton years. And because 4 years is a long time in politics. The two presidential candidates in 2008 will be chosen on the basis of who is who and what is what in 4 years time, not on the basis of who we think is fashionable now. I remember that when Bush lost in 1992, people were predicting that Dan Quayle would run in 1996 (ha ha).

He could still become president if for example he returned as vice-president, and the president died. But he can't be elected president again as I read it. Haven't found anything to say he can take a break then start over.
